UAE weather: humidity at 90% along the coast

Inland temperatures to hit 49°C

Summer in the UAE has brought with it high levels of humidity

Temperatures will fall in the west, but could almost hit 50°C in some parts of the country today, according to forecasters.

On the coast the temperatures will range from 37°C to 44°C, but they could hit 49°C inland, where humidity will range between 55 per cent and 85 per cent. It will be very sticky on the coast, with humidity reaching as high as 90 per cent.

This could result in fog and mist during the night and into the early morning.

Winds will be light to moderate, but could become gusty at times, which will whip up dust over exposed areas.

The sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times in the west by morning in the Arabian Gulf. Waves will be slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
