Humidity levels could reach a shirt-drenching 90 per cent along some parts of the UAE's coast, forecasters say.
The National Centre of Meteorology on Tuesday said the humidity is expected to peak by the evening and into tomorrow morning.
It is being caused by warm seas, which in turn increases evaporation. And hotter land temperatures means most of this water is absorbed by the air.
Meanwhile, the NCM said the day will be hot and hazy generally, with a slight chance of rain in the east.
Light to moderate winds could also kick up dust clouds.
Temperatures are forecast to hit a searing 46°C in internal areas, while lows of 25°C are expected in the mountains.
