Tottenham Hotspur’s revival under Jose Mourinho continued but they were forced to endure a nervy end to their match against Bournemouth before prevailing 3-2.

Dele Alli, seemingly reborn since the Portuguese replaced Mauricio Pochettino as manager last month, scored twice while Moussa Sissoko’s acrobatic volley looked to have set Spurs on their way to a comfortable three points.

But twin strikes from Harry Wilson - the first a 20-yard left-foot free kick before adding a saecond in injury time- set up a tense finish at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"I think it was in our best period when we scored the third goal, we were close to score the fourth and then when they scored the first one it was a different game," Mourinho told Match Of The Day.

"I felt the boys felt a bit tired after playing a high intensity game, but we had the chance to score the fourth goals, but then in the Premier League the game is always alive.

"We played well for long period of the games, we had a few scary moments but I think the fans enjoyed. We scored seven goals in four days."

It means Mourinho has won his first three games in charge of Spurs, scoring 10 goals while conceding six to move up to fifth place, six points behind Chelsea in fourth.

A 48th-minute goal from Aaron Cresswell earned West Ham United a surprise 1-0 victory at Chelsea, their first win since September.

Cresswell latched on to a pass from Pablo Fornais and cut inside Chelsea’s 19-year-old defender Reece James before shooting into the far corner past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham had a goal ruled out by VAR in the 69th minute for handball by Michail Antonio but held on under late home pressure to record their first league away win since August.

Crystal Palace ended a winless run of five league games with a 2-0 victory at Burnley courtesy of goals from Jordan Ayew and substitute Jeffrey Schupp.

"It was more frustrating that disappointing," said Burnley boss Sean Dyche. "I am not disappointed because I thought we played well. The frustration comes with not taking our chances. They stayed in shape and broke and we did not deal with those breaks today. Sometimes you think it was not your day but you have to take your chances and we did not take them today."
