Two men and a woman are accused of locking up a man, stripping him naked and then forcing him to give up his ATM card. All three denied charges, but a forth accomplice pleaded guilty.
The Nigerian trio denied charges of confinement, sexual assault, issuing death threats and theft when they appeared at Dubai Criminal Court this Sunday morning, but the fourth defendant, 24, admitted to all of the charges. He told the court that three others, aged between 24 and 32, did commit the crimes with him on August 15 this year.
Prosecutors told the court that the female defendant, who is additionally charged with working as a prostitute, lured the victim into her apartment in Barsha Heights at around 10pm on the day of the incident.
"When I arrived, she locked the door, then three men appeared and took me to the bedroom where they threatened to kill me. They stripped me naked, took away my phone and wallet. I was terrified," said the Egyptian victim, whose age was not disclosed in records.
He said the female defendant jumped on top of him, then the men started taking photos of the two naked. They then threatened to post the images on social media.
"I was scared, so I gave them my ATM and the password," said the victim.

Records show the men used the victim's card to purchase Dh100,000 worth of gold and withdrew Dh50,000 from different machines.
The victim was then taken in his own car to his bank to make a Dh200,000 transfer to a bank account belonging to one of the defendants, but he managed to escape and headed to the police station to report the incident.
Police apprehended the four defendants the following day.
The next hearing will be on January 10.
