Humidity levels are set to rise over the next two days, with the possibility of fog reducing visibility to less than 1,000 metres at times over some coastal and internal areas of the country

A hazardous weather alert was sounded in some areas of the southern and western parts of the country, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

Humidity would increase at night and during the early morning increasing the chance of mist and fog formation.

The maximum humidity is set to be between 60 and 90 per cent across coastal, 60 and 90 per cent in interior regions and between 35 and 65 per cent in the mountains.

The temperatures are slightly lower from the highs of 40°C, last week staying at 38°C in Dubai, 39°C in Abu Dhabi, 38°C in Sharjah, a balmy 35°C in Ras Al Khaimah, and peaking at 36°C in Fujairah.

Temperatures will range from 20 to 42°C in the interior regions, 27 to 40°C along the coast and 21°C to 36°C in the mountains.
