It's one of the UAE's most well-known hot spots, but Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE will soon be hosting its goodbye party. The beach club, which is located at Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel and Resort in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi, will be closing down next month, it has revealed. The water-side spot, an outpost of Ibiza's famed Blue Marlin night spot and restaurant, is hosting an Last Dance party on Friday, December 13, for fans to bid their farewells. "After all these years, we would like to thank you all for all the memories, energy and happiness. On Friday, 13 December, we will have our last dance in Ghantoot," the Facebook event page states. "Let’s make this moment extraordinary." Blue Marlin did, however, suggest that the venue may move locations, adding: "Until we meet again." The beach club is known for bringing world-renowned DJs from the genres of house, techno and EDM to the UAE, as well as its day-to-night parties. The club first opened in 2012, and only reopened for the season on September 13. Its Last Dance party will feature performances by Welsh DJ and producer Jamie Jones, who heads up electronic music group Hot Natured, as well as DJ duo Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, who make up Bedouin and draw on their Middle Eastern heritage in their mixes. The National has reached out to Blue Marlin for comment. The Last Party will take place on Friday, December 13, 1pm to 11pm; free entry before 4pm; Blue Marlin, Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotels and Resort, Sheikh Zayed Road, Ghantoot; for reservations calls 056 113 3400 or email reservation@bluemarlinibiza-uae.com
