Doaa Farid is The National’s podcast editor and a 12-time award-winning executive podcast producer. She previously worked as a producer with BBC News, CNBC Arabia, and Alhurra TV. Before moving into production, she reported on business and economics for Ahram Weekly, the Daily News Egypt and Business Today magazine. Her bylines have also appeared in The Guardian and the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Doaa's productions have received multiple awards for excellence in podcasting and digital media, including honors from the Telly Awards, New York Radio and TV Festivals, Signal Awards, and the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), along with several nominations from the Association of International Broadcasting (AIBs). She also serves as a jury member for the AIBs, New York Radio Festival and Signal Awards.
