Curtis Jones will never forget his first start at Anfield after scoring a spectacular winner against arch-rivals Everton, his first for the club.

But the 18-year-old wasn't the only teenager to have an impact on the FA Cup third round.

Seventeen-year-old Luke Matheson's introduction against Newcastle United resulted in an assist for Aaron Wilbraham, 40, to earn a replay while Norwich City youngster Adam Idah seized his chance to impress with a hat-trick against Preston North End.

Phil Foden, Manchester City's 19-year-old schemer, ran the show as Pep Guardiola's side ran out comfortable winners over Port Vale.
