Taste of Abu Dhabi is set to tempt the taste buds of foodies in the capital from November 10-12 and this year they’ve put together some of UAE’s most popular chefs to feed the masses.

The line-up for the event, to be held at Zayed Sports City, will include TV cook Mohammad Orfali, food specialist and author Deema Hajhawi and globetrotting gourmet guru Tarek Ibrahim.

The celebrity foodies will conduct demonstrations in Chef’s Theatre, hosted by Etihad Airways, alongside Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor, British restaurateur Ed Baines and many other leading industry figures.

Visitors will also have the chance to pit their skills against each other in contests judged by a panel of experts.

“With more than 14,000 visitors enjoying the food, family fun and famous faces in 2015, we are confident this year’s event will provide an even more memorable experience for all of our guests,” says Chris Fountain, event organiser Turret Media’s managing director.

Foodies will also have access to around 20 fine-dining restaurants from the capital who will participate in Taste of Abu Dhabi. Some of those to offer tastes of their signature dishes and hospitality will be Teatro, Sho Cho, Flooka, Bu Trinity, Tamba, Punjab Grill and The Sportsman’s Arms.

A new addition to the festival this year is a Kids Zone for children of all ages. For adults, a musical highlight of the event on November 10 will be a pop concert by Swedish Abba tribute band Bjorn Again.

• Taste of Abu Dhabi will take place at Zayed Sports City from November 10-12. The festival will run from 4-11pm on Thursday, noon-11pm on Friday and noon-10pm on Saturday. Tickets, starting from Dh65, are available online from www.tasteabudhabi.com. Food samples are not included in most ticket prices and cost from Dh15-30 a plate.
