Eid sales: Abu Dhabi malls announce 24-hour mega discounts

More than 16 malls will be slashing prices, while online retailers will also be offering huge discounts

As Ramadan draws to a close and UAE residents prepare to celebrate Eid Al Fitr, malls and online retailers across the emirates will be slashing their prices.

Shoppers on the hunt for Eid gifts, clothing and electrical goods will be able to make huge savings during Eid, here are some of the best discounts announced so far:

Abu Dhabi

Malls across the capital and Al Ain will be taking part in a 24-hour Mega Sale to mark Eid Al Fitr. More than 500 retailers will offer sales, which will run from 10am on Wednesday June 5 to 10am on Thursday June 6, across 16 malls.

Participating malls include Yas Mall, The Mall at World Trade Centre, Al Jimi Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, Bawadi Mall, Dalma Mall, Al Raha Mall, Al Wahda Mall, Barari Outlet Mall, Foah Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, Madinat Mall, Mazyad Mall, Mushrif Mall and Marina Mall. Other malls, including Al Ain Mall, City Centre Al Masdar, Deerfields Mall and Hili Mall will offer extended opening hours on June 5, allowing shoppers to make the most of the bargains until 3am.

As well as discounts of up to 90 per cent at selected retailers, participating malls will also be offering competitions and raffles throughout the day, while Yas Mall will also be offering shoppers VAT back if they spend Dh1,000 or more.

Other offers around the UAE                             

Sharjah

Sharjah shoppers can enjoy discounts of up to 75 per cent on various goods during the Ramadan Nights event at Expo Centre Sharjah. The 17-day market will continue into Eid.

Ramadan Nights in Sharjah is free to attend, and UAE residents can expect to bag some bargains, with retailers promising to offer up to 75 discount on various goods.

The event is part of the 30th edition of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). Discounts will be available on clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, cosmetics, perfumes, electronics, household appliances, interiors, furnishings, and sports equipment.

Carrefour

Carrefour stores across the UAE are offering discounts of up to 77 per cent on thousands of products, including groceries, homewares, electrical goods and health and beauty, both in store and online, with discounts set to continue into Eid.

Union Coop

Union Coop will also be continuing its Ramadan offers into Eid, slashing the prices of more than 25,000 products until Monday June 10.

Noon.com

Noon.com will be offering ‘mega deals’ throughout Eid, with heavy discounts across clothing, beauty, electrical and homeware. Shoppers can also currently get an extra 15 per cent off selected items with code TIMEOUT.

Amazon.ae

Amazon.ae will be hosting daily deals throughout Eid Al Fitr, slashing the prices of selected TVs, phones, laptops and other electricals. Shoppers can also currently save 20 per cent on beauty products, as well as 35 per cent on home appliances.
