Abu Dhabi Culinary, a year-long festival of food running in the capital, teamed up with UK’s Pan-n-Ice to make ice cream history this weekend.

On Friday, it officially broke the Guinness World Record title for “most varieties of ice cream on display.”

The event took place in Yas Mall’s Pearl Court, where a whopping 1,001 unique flavours were present, setting a new Guinness World Record.

Some truly unique flavours created for and showcased at the event include: apple and chocolate wafer; banana and pistachio; blueberries and Kitkat; cherry & Nutella; granola; chocolate Nesquick and Lotus biscoff; and Strawberry shortbread and Flake.

It was a sweet surprise for visitors at the mall who got a chance to satiate those sugar cravings with the creative flavour combinations.

Shortly after the event, Abu Dhabi Culinary was handed the Guinness World Record certificate.

The event also marked the first appearance of Pan-n-Ice, a UK brand famous for its ice cream rolls, in the region.
