Police in Dubai are going green with their new eco-friendly fleet of electric patrol cars to support the emirate's sustainability drive.
Dubai Police officers will be getting behind the wheel of 13 Renault Zoe electric cars, secured from Arabian Automobiles.
The partnership between the force and the car dealer is part of nationwide efforts to tackle air pollution.
The vehicle produces zero emissions when in use.
Dubai Police is not the only state service helping to protect the planet.
In February, Dubai Corporation of Ambulance Services unveiled the Zero DS, which produces no heat, vibration or fumes.
The ambulance service said the emergency vehicle would be used for rapid intervention and immediate response situations.
