A total of 7,000 dust masks were handed out to pilgrims passing through Al Ghuwaifat border crossing into Saudi Arabia, on their way to perform Haj. Pilgrims also received bottled water, juice, umbrellas and folders for important documents. An ambulance was also positioned at the border crossing in case of emergency. To speed up the passage of the 13,136 pilgrims travelling from the UAE and Oman, the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with other bodies, set up a tent to process travel documents. Extra traffic patrols were also available.
