DUBAI // A waiter and his girlfriend were caught having sex on Umm Suqeim Beach near the Burj Al Arab, a court heard this morning.
The couple, AB, a 21-year-old Lebanese waiter and MP, a 30-year-old Filipina saleswoman, are charged with having sex outside marriage and committing an act of public indecency. Prosecutors said the incident in which they were caught was the third time they had sex there.

Neither AB nor MP appeared in court this morning.
According to records, a police patrol from the Ports Police Station caught the two on Umm Suqeim Beach about 3am on July 5.
MP testified that she met AB at Mall of the Emirates nearly two months before the incident. AB told prosecutors he had sex with her several times in his apartment before they were caught by police.
AB and MP are free on bail. The next hearing was scheduled for August 18.
