• More: One year on from devastating floods, Carlisle United are buoyant | Premier League round-up

Coming off their stunning comeback victory over visiting Liverpool, Bournemouth join Arsenal and Chelsea this week as the clubs with two players in Richard Jolly’s Premier League team of the week. Click or swipe through to see who made the cut.

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford (Sunderland)

A vital late save to deny Leicester’s Wes Morgan was a major reason why Sunderland held on for a third win in four games.

Right-back: James Tomkins (Crystal Palace)

Switched to right-back, he helped Palace keep a first league clean sheet this season and bundled in their second goal against Southampton.

Centre-back: Steve Cook (Bournemouth)

Played his part in a famous comeback by scoring Bournemouth’s equaliser in a style a striker would be proud of before Nathan Ake added a winner.

Centre-back: Marc Muniesa (Stoke)

Opened his Stoke account with a high-class finish against Burnley while keeping Sean Dyche’s side quiet as Stoke’s recovery gathered pace.

Left-back: Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

Solid defensively and energetic and influential going forward as Arsenal ran riot at the London Stadium, scoring five times against sorry West Ham United.

Right midfield: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur)

After failing to score a league goal all season, he now has three in two games. The Dane was terrific in the 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City.

Centre midfield: Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

Provided the pass of the weekend with a superb defence-splitting ball to send Diego Costa away for the equaliser at the Etihad Stadium.

Centre midfield: Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth)

Emerged from obscurity to transform the game against Liverpool. Won a penalty after 30 seconds and scored later on.

Left midfield: Matt Phillips (West Bromwich Albion)

Quietly, one of the signings of the season. Has brought Albion pace, incision and scored a quality goal against Watford.

Striker: Diego Costa (Chelsea)

Bullied the Manchester City defence, scoring one goal and setting up another in a virtuoso display to secure a seminal win for the league leaders.

Striker: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Not content with setting up Mesut Ozil’s opener at West Ham, he scored one of the great Premier League hat-tricks with impish brilliance.
