The Premier League is back and there was plenty of entertainment with 27 goals coming in the 10 games.

Champions Manchester City were the biggest winners, netting five at West Ham United in a 5-0 win.

Liverpool were 4-1 victors over newly promoted Norwich City, while Manchester United ruined Frank Lampard's first game in charge of Chelsea as they ran out 4-0 victors.

Brighton and Hove Albion and Burnley both won 3-0 against Watford and Southampton respectively, while Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to triumph 3-1 over Aston Villa.

Arsenal were 1-0 victors at Newcastle United, while a late goal from Bill Sharp salvaged a 1-1 draw for Bournemouth at Sheffield United.

The games between Crystal Palace and Everton and Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers both ended goalless.
