Arsenal 2 Aston Villa 0

Why? Villa have actually performed fairly well since their relegation was confirmed. They only lost 1-0 at Manchester United and held a Newcastle side fighting the drop to a 0-0 draw this week. However, it is hard to see them scoring at Arsenal. Arsene Wenger may well give some of his squad a run out, with their Champions League spot assured, but they should still win easily.

Chelsea 2 Leicester 2

Why? You often get goals on the last day of the season and, with the pressure off the champions, expect them to take their foot off the pedal. Chelsea are hardly water tight at the back so this should be a game where attacking talent shines. Expect Eden Hazard, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy to do well.

Everton 0 Norwich 0

Why? Everton's last two performances have been shocking – 3-1 and 3-0 away defeats at Leicester and Sunderland. It became clear that manager Roberto Martinez was on his way out and he was sacked on Thursday. There could be a weird mood at Goodison Park and Everton's final home game looks likely to result in more disappointment.

Manchester United 2 Bournemouth 0

Why? United need to win to put pressure on Manchester City in the chase for a Champions League. They should do with ease if they can score early enough, but it won't be enough to take fourth place.

Newcastle United 0 Tottenham 3

Why? Relegated without playing on Wednesday, this could get ugly for Newcastle. The attitude of a lot of their players has been questionable all season, but now they have nothing to play for except pride. Spurs need a point to confirm second place and they have the attacking nous to blow Newcastle away.

Southampton 3 Crystal Palace 0

Why? Palace's eyes are on the FA Cup final and it's likely Alan Pardew will field a reserve side here. Southampton are in fine form and could rack up a few goals if they are in the mood.

Stoke 0 West Ham 1

Why? West Ham still have a European spot to chase, with sixth place likely to lead to the Europa League should Manchester United win the FA Cup. Stoke are trudging to the end of the season and haven't won in six. Away win

Swansea City 0 Manchester City 4

Why? Which Swansea side will turn up here? The won that has scored seven goals in the last two games or the one that shipped seven in the two matches previous to that? City need a point for a Champions League spot and this feels like it will be one of those games where they score early and run

Watford 2 Sunderland 2

Why? This should be another goal feast. Watford are basically waiting for the season to end, but they have the attacking talent to bother Sunderland. The visitors are safe, they are playing well and will hope to sign off in style.

West Brom 1 Liverpool 0

Why? With the Europa League final against Sevilla on the horizon, it would be a surprise if Jurgen Klopp plays any of his first choice XI. West Brom haven't won in eight, but if results go their way they could jump to 12th.
