The international break is over at last, so time to take a look ahead at the action in England's top tier

So another international break done and dusted. Pure, uninterrupted, dramatic Premier League action all the way … until the next international break in November.

Does Fifa never learn fans can do without the monotony of qualifiers on quite so many weekends? Bring back midweek fixtures with no breaks.

Mind you, with Liverpool already eight points clear in the Premier League after eight games, there needs to be some drama to reignite the title race.

Undoubtedly the match of the weekend is on Sunday when struggling Manchester United take on Jurgen Klopp’s leaders. Another defeat for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be really serious.

Another defeat for Marco Silva could also spell trouble, and his Everton side kick of the games at 3.30pm against West Ham.

Six games follow at 6pm on Saturday, with Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino yet another coach desperate for three points, while Chelsea v Newcastle looks an intriguing encounter. Manchester City visit Crystal Palace in the late game, kicking off at 8.30pm.

After Sunday’s epic, the round of games ends with Sheffield United hosting Arsenal at 11pm on Monday.
