Goalkeeper: Heurelho Gomes (Watford)

Made two brilliant saves, from Steve Cook’s overhead kick and Glenn Murray’s penalty, in the draw at Bournemouth.

Right-back: Glen Johnson (Stoke)

Both of Stoke’s winners this season have come from a Johnson assist and he set up Marko Arnautovic at Aston Villa.

Centre-back: Scott Dann (Crystal Palace)

Another week, another clean sheet for Palace and Dann helped snuff out the threat from West Bromwich Albion.

Centre-back: Robert Huth (Leicester)

Stood tall in Leicester’s second-half rearguard action at Norwich as they clung on to three precious points.

Left-back: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton)

Had the happiest of returns to Stamford Bridge as Southampton excelled by beating his former club Chelsea 3-1.

Right midfield: Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)

Scored the pick of Manchester City’s six goals against Newcastle, with a dipping volley, and set up two of Sergio Aguero’s five.

Centre midfield: Santi Cazorla (Arsenal)

Provided a passing masterclass as he ran the midfield against Manchester United on Arsenal’s best day of the season.

Centre midfield: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)

After an injury-hit start to the campaign, the Dane has returned to form and fitness and scored twice at Swansea.

Left midfield: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The Chilean demolished Manchester United with a first-half double to take his tally to five goals in two league games.

Striker: Sadio Mane (Southampton)

Just edges out his teammate Graziano Pelle for a place. Chelsea could not cope with the Senegalese scorer’s pace and movement.

Striker: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

The electric Argentine made Premier League history by scoring five times in a devastating 20-minute burst against Newcastle.
