Algiers, Paris and Cairo: Algeria fans rejoice at Africa Cup of Nations victory - in pictures

Algerians across the world celebrated their side's win over Senegal in Friday's final in Cairo

Algeria ended a 29-year wait to be champions of Africa again, and their fans did not wait long to celebrate the achievement of their side in Egypt.

Baghdad Bounedjah's second-minute goal proved to be enough to defeat Senegal 1-0 in the Africa Cup of Nations final in Cairo.

Around 10,000 fans were reported to be in the Cairo International Stadium to celebrate the win.

But they were not the only supporters in high spirits, with big gatherings in Algeria and across France, most notably in Paris, all jubilant at seeing their country win the tournament for only the second time in their history.
