You can perform your sun salutations under the morning light as part of a new experience at Topgolf Dubai.

The entertainment and sporting venue has joined forces with Alserkal Avenue studio Shimis Yoga to launch yoga classes that will take place every Friday morning at 8am on the Topgolf outfield.

The session is open to all yogi levels, with Shimis Yoga instructors taking participants through a 50-minute class that comprises different poses and breathing techniques. Plenty of Dubai Marina views are also guaranteed.

After the session, guests can grab a coffee, with a selection of milk options available, and light healthy bites including Topgolf’s watermelon pizza, fruits and coulis.

Yoga @Topgolf Dubai is priced at Dh150 per person, and will take place every Friday morning from February 26. Those attending the first session will receive a Topgolf Dubai goodie bag.

Guests are advised to bring their own mats and towels, and shower facilities are not provided. Online bookings can be made at shimis.com.

The three-storey venue, which opened at Emirates Golf Club in January, is the Middle East and Asia's first Topgolf facility – an entertainment concept that was born in the UK and has since taken the US by storm.

There are currently more than 50 Topgolf locations globally, with three in the UK and one in Australia.

The concept is an interactive, multilevel and computerised take on the typical driving range experience.

Dubai's outpost features 96 private driving range-style bays, as well as three restaurants and a mini-golf course.

Should late investors consider cryptocurrencies?

Wealth managers recommend late investors to have a balanced portfolio that typically includes traditional assets such as cash, government and corporate bonds, equities, commodities and commercial property.

They do not usually recommend investing in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies due to the risk and volatility associated with them.

“It has produced eye-watering returns for some, whereas others have lost substantially as this has all depended purely on timing and when the buy-in was. If someone still has about 20 to 25 years until retirement, there isn’t any need to take such risks,” Rupert Connor of Abacus Financial Consultant says.

He adds that if a person is interested in owning a business or growing a property portfolio to increase their retirement income, this can be encouraged provided they keep in mind the overall risk profile of these assets.
