Tale of Rabbit is a children's musical and a modern adaptation of a classic Korean fable passed down for generations for 300 years. The performance – part of the Korea Festival 2017 – tells the story of the sea king, who sends a turtle in search of a rabbit that will cure the king's illness. Sharjah Art Museum presents Lasting Impressions: Thuraya Al Baqsami, the eighth in a series that pays tribute to the region's most influential artists. Al Baqsami is an award-winning Kuwaiti artist whose paintings, posters, drawings and illustrations date back to the 1960s. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through her life in Cairo, Moscow and Dakar.

Register to attend a screening of the 2016 film Lights of Rome, which tells the story of the 1990 UAE football team that competed in the Fifa World Cup in Italy. The average age of the players was 19, the same age as their young country. The film stars the players and trainers of the time and catches up with them 26 years later. The event is part of the National Pavilion UAE public programme, part of the Venice Biennale, and the film's director, Ali Khaled will participate in a post-screening talk.
