The restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serves up classic Emirati flavours such as machbous, legimat, sagaw and karak tea as well as modern dishes such as green soup pie and diyay tortillas.

Majlis Alfareej will feature traditional Emirati entertainment and culture, including displayed artwork by local artists. The restaurant will also offer specials that revolve around Ramadan, UAE National Day and Eid.

Founder and co-owner Ali AL-Romaithi says: “We’re very excited. The concept has been 18 months in the making and now we can share it with people living and working in the capital. We are offering truly surprising flavours and a cooking style people won’t have tried before. We’re excited for guests to try it and fall in love with it as much as we have.”

Majlis Alfareej is open daily from 9am to midnight. It’s in Darwish Tower in the Danat area. 02 665 3653
