Abu Dhabi's hotel occupancy and revenue fell in October as higher supply put pressure on margins.
The occupancy fell by 10 per cent to 73 per cent compared with last year, with the average length of stay 9 per cent lower, at 2.82 nights, over the year, according to the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. About 354,500 visitors, 1 per cent fewer, checked into Abu Dhabi’s 168 hotels and hotel apartments. Revenue fell by 28 per cent to Dh446 million.
The UAE, India, the UK, China and the Philippines remained the top source markets but the UAE and the UK showed a decline by 9 and 7 per cent, respectively.
