'Disney on Ice' is coming to Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena in September

The show will mark the return of live family entertainment to the UAE capital

Disney on Ice is set to come to Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena this year, bringing with it a host of some of world's most loved children's characters.

Across two consecutive weekends in September, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy will take to the ice at Yas Island's new event space for Disney On Ice Presents Find Your Heroes.

As well as the classic Disney characters, expect appearances from Moana, Frozen's Elsa and Anna, Sebastian, Rapunzel and Belle, who will perform some of their most popular songs.

The show marks the return of live family entertainment to the capital, and will be one of the first major events to take place at the new arena.

Ali Haidary, founder and chief executive of Sportainment Entertainment & Sports, the promoter of the show, said: "We are excited to deliver a new experience and showcase Disney's magical shows at the brand-new state-of-the-art Etihad Arena in Yas Island."

The shows will take place on Thursday to Saturday, September 2 to 4, as well as the following weekend, from September 9 to 11, with several show times per day.
