Luis Fonsi is making his UAE performance debut on Sunday.
The 39-year-old Puerto Rican singer, responsible for the global smash single Despacito, will appear at Cavalli Club at the Fairmont Hotel on Sunday, December 3.
The infectious reggaeton number spent over 16 weeks on top of the US chart in addition to becoming the most watched song on YouTube with over 4 billion views.
Fonsi's UAE visit is part of range of appearances which includes being a guest of the Dubai International Film Festival which runs from December 6 to 13.
The Despacito juggernaut shows no sign of slowing down. It has been reported that a Mandarin version of the song is in the works which will have Fonsi sharing vocal duties with Singaporean singer JJ Lin.
Despacito was celebrated earlier this month at the Latin Grammy Awards with Fonsi winning four awards including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
“It's been a beautiful year. 12 or 11 months of hard work representing our language in the entire world and enjoying a song that, thanks to Latin audiences and many beyond, has become so influential and has united the entire world and broken language barriers," he said from the Las Vegas Ceremony.

Muslim Council of Elders condemns terrorism on religious sites
The Muslim Council of Elders has strongly condemned the criminal attacks on religious sites in Britain.
It firmly rejected “acts of terrorism, which constitute a flagrant violation of the sanctity of houses of worship”.
“Attacking places of worship is a form of terrorism and extremism that threatens peace and stability within societies,” it said.
The council also warned against the rise of hate speech, racism, extremism and Islamophobia. It urged the international community to join efforts to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
