Fans of Lebanese interior designer Vick Vanlian will know of his love for legs. His trademark designs are unexpected neo-pop pieces of furniture – tables, lamps and consoles — balanced atop shapely, heel-clad pins.

The pieces are reflective of the designer’s love of both fashion and female beauty, and he took this to a whole new level for his outing at this year’s Design Days Dubai, which drew to a close this weekend. Vanlian presented a variation of his Nike console, created in collaboration with famed Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad. “The collaboration with Zuhair Murad is the first in the region mixing furniture and design,” says Vanlian.

The multi-decked console appears in jaunty shades of purple and green, while the feet are decked in showstopping green sequinned heels. “The colours of the console are inspired by Zuhair ’s latest fashion collection and the shoes are also from his latest collection,” Vanlian notes.

Named for the goddess of strength, Nike, the console is crafted from painted steel and lacquered wood, with the legs cast from resin.
