ABU DHABI // No major weather changes are expected with hot and humid conditions set to prevail across the country through to the weekend, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology forecast on Wednesday.

But the centre warned of fog formation in the western parts of the country during tomorrow morning and Friday.

There will be no significant drop in temperature in the country, but some towering clouds will be formed in the eastern parts of the country this afternoon.

The centre predicted that the humidity level is likely to increase tonight and tomorrow morning over some coastal areas.

Satellite images showed fog forming over the Ruwais area at around 6am but it later dispersed.

The wind will be blowing moderately and the sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, the centre said.

The maximum temperature in the internal parts of the country will hover between 44°C-48°C, while the minimum will be between 27°C-32°C.

The humidity level will be at its highest between 70-85 per cent with lows of 15-30 per cent.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport said there were no major road accidents this morning but a bus broke down on Sheikh Zayed Street before Al Saada Bridge in Abu Dhabi city at 8.10am. It was later cleared.
