Emirati motorcyclist killed in road accident in RAK

An Emirati man was killed in a traffic accident over the weekend when his motorcycle collided head-on with a car in Al Zeit area in Ras Al Khaimah.

Col Ali Al Alekum, director of traffic and patrols at RAK Police, said the accident occurred when the car suddenly swerved into the motorcycle. High winds and low visibility due to sand and dust in the air led to the crash.

The Emirati man, 19, had severe head injuries and died before arriving at the hospital. The case was referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

Col Al Alekum urged motorists to observe traffic regulation and to avoid excessive speed, especially during bad weather.
