Police in Sharjah found the body of a baby boy floating in the waters of Buhairah Corniche this morning.
They were notifed by residents at around 9am after the body was seen floating near one of the hotels in the area.
A police ambulance arrived at the scene soon after but confirmed the boy was already dead.
He was estimated to be almost two months old, according to a police spokesman.
The body has been taken to Al Qassimi hospital said police.
The case is being investigated by police who are on the hunt to locate the mother.
