ABU DHABI // The Burj Khalifa will turn pink every weekend this October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The world’s tallest tower will be lit up in pink by the world’s largest LED-illuminated facade on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Dubai’s landmark already holds the Guinness World Record for largest LED-illuminated facade, achieved during the 2015 New Year’s celebration, with LED panels covering 32,467 square metres – 3.75 times larger than the previously held record by Mall Taman Anggrek in Indonesia.

Also to mark the month, Al Jalila Foundation will donate Dh1 for every item sold in At The Top, Burj Khalifa’s observation deck, for the month.
