Umm Al Quwain government employees to be paid early for Eid Al Fitr

Government employees in Umm Al Quwain are to be paid early for Eid Al Fitr, bringing the emirate in line with Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ajman.

The ruler of the emirate, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid, has ordered the salaries of public sector workers to be paid by July 20.

According to a statement by the state news agency Wam, the move is meant as a “gesture to provide citizens and residents the convenience to adequately prepare for Eid Al Fitr”.

The announcement follows a similar ruling by President Sheikh Khalifa on Tuesday.
