FUJAIRAH // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has offered his condolences to the families of pilots Ahmed Mohammed Al Zeyoudi and Abdullah Mohammed Al Yamahi, who were killed while participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s ‘Operation Restoring Hope’ in Yemen.

While making separate visits to the mourning tents at Al Hala and Marbad in Fujairah, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his sympathies and condolences to the families, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the martyrs’ soul in Paradise and grant solace to their families.

Al Zeyoudi and Al Yamahi died when their aircraft crashed during a routine flight over international waters.

While comforting the families of the servicemen, Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that the UAE is proud of its heroes who, day after day, set shining examples of bravery and sacrifices which showed their deep loyalty to their homeland, reported state news agency Wam.

“They were the loyal soldiers and brave heroes in the battles of dignity and honour. They will remain a source of inspiration for the generations to come,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

He added that the stand of the UAE people, particularly families of martyrs, in solidarity behind their children in the Armed Forces, security agencies and humanitarian organisations was a source of pride and glory from which we draw strength, determination, pride and persistence as well as the values of loyalty and belonging to the nation.

Sheikh Mohammed said these values revive and promote the spirit of hope and work to forge ahead on the path of glory and dignity in order to confront challenges with bravely.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun, Director of Office of Martyrs’ Families Office, and Mohammed Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, also offered condolences to the families of the pilots, along with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister.

Three ways to boost your credit score

Marwan Lutfi says the core fundamentals that drive better payment behaviour and can improve your credit score are:

1. Make sure you make your payments on time;

2. Limit the number of products you borrow on: the more loans and credit cards you have, the more it will affect your credit score;

3. Don't max out all your debts: how much you maximise those credit facilities will have an impact. If you have five credit cards and utilise 90 per cent of that credit, it will negatively affect your score.

Who was Alfred Nobel?

The Nobel Prize was created by wealthy Swedish chemist and entrepreneur Alfred Nobel.

  • In his will he dictated that the bulk of his estate should be used to fund "prizes to those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind".
  • Nobel is best known as the inventor of dynamite, but also wrote poetry and drama and could speak Russian, French, English and German by the age of 17. The five original prize categories reflect the interests closest to his heart.
  • Nobel died in 1896 but it took until 1901, following a legal battle over his will, before the first prizes were awarded.
