DUBAI// Parents are being urged not to leave their children unattended near swimming pools after the death of a two-year-old boy.
The Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre said many parents were unaware of how deep some pools are and that they pose a drowning risk to young children.
The child, believed to be of Arab nationality, died at his family home in Dubai.
The centre said parents and authorities had to work together to improve safety.
