Weekend weather set to be hot and humid

DUBAI // Heat and humidity levels are set to rise this weekend with a warning of poor visibility across the coast and internal areas.

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology warned of “The chance of fog formation and poor visibility less than 1,000m at times over some internal and coastal areas.”

The centre also forecast fresh northwesterly winds and rough sea at times over the Arabian Gulf.

The maximum humidity would be between 75 to 95 per cent across coastal regions, between 70 to 90 per cent in internal areas and 45 to 60 per cent in the mountains.

The hot and hazy weather with clouds and moderate wings blowing dust and sand over some areas would persist until Saturday.

Humidity levels would also rise further on Thursday night and on Friday morning over the coast and internal areas.

Temperatures will range from 27 to 41°C along the coast, 22 to 39°C in the mountains and 26 to 44°C in the interior regions.
