The penalty for improper disposal of wastewater in Dubai will now be Dh100,000 following amendments of penalties for the incorrect disposal of hazardous, building, demolition and industrial waste, the state news agency Wam reported.
A fine of Dh10,000 will be charged for leaking wastewater from buildings or septic tanks.
Leakage or improper disposal of materials from concrete mixing transport lorries will result in a Dh50,000 fine and improper disposal of used oils in the public sewage network, cesspools or roads will result in a Dh3,000 fine.
