The latest technology in environmentally-efficient home design will be on display at Cityscape, the Middle East’s largest annual real estate event being held from April 22-24.
The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s (UPC) interactive exhibition of the Estidama villa experience centre will enable visitors to see some of the energy-saving and resource-efficient benefits of new homes that comply with the Estidama Pearl Rating System.
It will show how relatively small changes in residential design can play an important role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s sustainable future.
Estidama walls are insulated to prevent 85 per cent of the sun’s heat from entering and are coated with non-toxic paint.
Low-flow taps designed to cut water consumption by 35 per cent and an advanced AC unit that uses 37 per cent less energy than conventional cooling systems will also be on display.
The Estidama villa experience centre is one of several interactive components at the UPC’s Cityscape stand at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Other unique offerings at the UPC stand will include an updated version of the scale model of the Abu Dhabi Metropolitan Area that has proved a hit at past Cityscape events.
There will also be interactive kiosks where people can learn about the Emirate’s framework plans, as well as the UPC’s master plans, policies and initiatives.
The UPC exhibition will be open from 10am to 7pm at Adnec stand 5A20.
