DUBAI // To mark the seventh annual Car-Free Day on February 21, there will be an exhibition of eco-friendly vehicles on the same day at Union Metro Station.
Alya Al Harmoudi, director of the environmental department at Dubai Municipality, said the exhibition would have three themes: environmentally friendly vehicles; a display of the latest technologies and practices to improve air quality; and the preservation of natural resources.
Tasnim Al Falasi, head of environmental awareness at Dubai Municipality, said residents and visitors could use public transport to reach the exhibition.
“There will also be an area where people can park their bikes,” she said.
It will take about 50 minutes to the exhibition from Ibn Battuta Mall in Jebel Ali. From the mall, it is a five-minute walk to Ibn Battuta Metro Station 2 for the Red Line to Union Metro Station.
