ABU DHABI // Abu Dhabi City Municipality has issued 404 warnings over environmental and health violations at Abu Dhabi farms.
The municipality called on farm owners and tenants to comply with standards and preserve the appearance of their farms, as part of a campaign to fine those violating municipal laws.
Under Law No 16 of 2011, farms must not be used for "random" storage or for items that are detrimental to the environment or city appearance, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National.
The campaign covered areas including Al Wafiya, Dharat Al Tayeb and Razeen, and was launched in January.
