Environment Agency Abu Dhabi on Tuesday launched the latest Species Survival Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature meeting –tackling species conservation problems on a global level.
As part of the conference, which ends on Friday, more than 300 international species conservation experts have come together to tackle conservation issues related to terrestrial and marine flora, fauna and invertebrates.
Previously, the IUCN SSC had only met twice in its 60-year history – both times in Abu Dhabi.
