Pupils join UAE clean-up drive

More than 200 students from grade 7 to grade 9 collected 1.5 tonnes of waste around Nad Al Sheba area in Dubai.

ABU DHABI // Students in Regent International School participated in a clean-up campaign to create awareness about littering.

More than 200 students from grade 7 to grade 9 collected 1.5 tonnes of waste such as tyres, old carpets, wrappings, plastic bottles, paper and tin foil around Nad Al Sheba area in Dubai.

The Regent International School collaborated with Emirates Environmental Group, a working group devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programs and community involvement.

The groups then organised a special campaign for the students at the school to raise awareness about littering and protecting the environment.
