The Doha mall where 13 children died in a fire will not reopen for Eid, despite rumours this week that angered the bereaved parents.
Villaggio Mall spokeswoman Carol Sabbagha said the shopping centre was still awaiting a clearance from Civil Defence.
"No areas will be accessible to public before Eid," she said.
The shopping centre had been closed since May when a fire killed 19 people in a nursery inside the mall.
In a letter to newspapers this week, parents of the children who died described suggestions that the mall might reopen as "outrageous, hurtful and indefensible."
They asked shoppers to boycott until safety reforms were enacted.
