Civil Defence rescued a baby from a burning third floor apartment in Jebel Ali on Sunday.

DUBAI// Civil Defence rescued a baby from a burning third floor apartment in Jebel Ali on Sunday.

Firefighters from Al Marsa Station arrived at the Discovery Gardens flat eight minutes after receiving a call reporting the blaze at 4pm.

Civil Defence evacuated the building and extinguished the fire within 20 minutes, before starting the cooling process.

No injuries were reported and the site was transferred to forensic teams to determine the cause.
