ABU DHABI // Health care is one of the sectors where the UAE’s monumental developments in the past few decades are most evident.

But while the health-care industry has grown exponentially, major health concerns such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease and obesity have as well.

The country ranks 16th worldwide in terms of diabetes prevalence rates. Nineteen per cent of the population lives with diabetes, according to the International Diabetes Federation.

The National has worked with YouGov, a research company, to create a survey on personal health and the quality of health care in the UAE.

We are interested in hearing about your health habits including diet and personal fitness, as well as your views on and experiences with medical care in the country.

People across the country will participate in the poll through face-to-face interviews with Emiratis and expatriates.

Below is a link to our online survey. We’re excited to hear what you have to say.
