Royal jelly, beeswax butter and honey from the French island of Quessant are key components of Guerlin’s new Abeille Royale range.
Three 50ml pots are now available in the UAE including a day creme, rich day creme and night creme. The bee-derived ingredients are geared towards softening, rejuvenating and replenishing the skin as well as aiding elasticity and smoothing fine lines.
The luxury products have a fragrance of honey, fresh herbs and floral aromas including mimosa and broom flowers.
The island of Quessant, located 18km from the Brittany coast and listed as a nature reserve by Unesco, is home to a black bee that produces honey of exceptional purity.
Slightly salty in taste, it has a high content of minerals and trace elements of sodium, magnesium, calcium and amino acids.
With these elements thought to be particularly good for the skin and aid with boosting self-repair, Guerlin chose to make Quessant’s honey its star ingredient.
