Diego Costa bookended the scoring as Chelsea managed a draw away to Swansea City on Sunday. His heroics earned Chelsea a point and – more importantly – himself the cover of The National's Sport section for Monday, September 12, 2016.
Costa opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Two Swansea goals put Chelsea down, but in the 81st minute Costa connected again to equalise, this time on a brilliant overhead bicycle kick.
Richard Jolly wrote about how the defensive laps that led to Swansea taking the lead were somewhat familiar for Chelsea, but credit must go to Costa for saving manager Antonio Conte his first loss at the helm of the 2014/15 champions.
