Brazilian teenager, Gabriel Jesus, could be on his way to Europe after his agent revealed “there are many clubs interested” in the Palmeiras striker.

Jesus, 19, has scored 10 goals in 14 matches for Palmeiras so far this season to earn a reputation as one of the most highly-rated talents in Brazil.

He will be part of the Brazil squad vying for gold at the Olympic Games in Rio, starting next month.

Jesus’s impressive form has led to media speculation linking him with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Inter Milan all reportedly interested in his services.

Jesus’s agent, Cristiano Simoes, confirmed there are clubs interested in the striker, but Palmeiras are unwilling to let him leave for less than his €40 million release clause.

“I don’t know if Inter have already got the all-clear from the lad, but I can say I have not had direct contact with the Nerazzurri,” Simoes is quoted as saying by FCInterNews.

“I just want to talk about what is certain, so we’ll analyse when we’ve got something concrete in front of us. There are many clubs interested, but none of these can be considered in pole position.

“We’ll speak clearly when there is something solid on the table. Don’t forget that clubs must negotiate with Palmeiras too.

“The price tag is €40m, as that is his release clause. Obviously what the lad wants will make a difference. His intentions will be decisive for his future.”
