Shrewsbury's Jason Cummings joins Lionel Messi in scoring twice against Liverpool - FA Cup team of the week

Left-back: Conor Townsend (West Bromwich Albion) – Set up one of the shocks of the round with a well-taken goal as Championship West Brom beat West Ham in London. Reuters

Right midfield: Josh Laurent (Shrewsbury Town) – Very few opponents have been man of the match against Liverpool this season. Laurent put in a storming performance to trouble them. EPA

Centre midfield: Muhamed Besic (Sheffield United) – The Bosnian scored a terrific long-range goal and Oliver Norwood a fine one as the Blades made a trip to Millwall seem simple. Reuters

Centre midfield: Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea) – The classiest player on the pitch as Chelsea avoided an upset at Hull. Kovacic opened up the City defence with expertise and ease. Reuters

Left midfield: Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) – Put a difficult season behind him to score a stylish curler as United struck five goal before half-time for the first time since 2001. Reuters

Centre-forward: Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) – Scored a swift brace after winning an early penalty in a decisive display against Fulham as the holders marched on. Reuters

Centre-forward: Jason Cummings (Shrewsbury Town) – The Scot came off the bench to turn the tie against Liverpool with an 11-minute double in a shock comeback. Reuters

Jason Cummings joined a select band of players on Sunday as the Scot came off the bench to earn third-tier Shrewsbury Town an FA Cup replay against Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Cummings joins Jonathan Kodjia, Gabriel Martinelli, Milan Pavkov and Lionel Messi as the only players to have scored two or more goals against the Reds in a game in the past 18 months.

If Cummings' feat is a rarity, even fewer put in a man-of-the-match performance against Jurgen Klopp's European and world champions.

Josh Laurent was superb for the League One club, who came from two goals down to take Liverpool to a replay at Anfield next month to see who advances to the fifth round.

Simon Eastwood pulled off a string of fine saves as another League One club Oxford United held Premier League Newcastle United to a 0-0 draw at St James' Park.
