MANCHESTER // Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that striker Sergio Aguero has fully recovered from injury and has joined the squad for tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero has not played for City since scoring five goals against Newcastle United last month due to a hamstring injury, but he will be in contention to play tomorrow for the league leaders.

But it was not all good news for City with the news David Silva is still ruled out with an ankle injury, while striker Wilfried Bony (hamstring) and captain Vincent Kompany (calf) are also sidelined.

“Sergio is fit, he’s ready to come back,” Pellegrini said. “But for David Silva it’s risky for him to play. Bony and Vincent Kompany are both injured.”

Pellegrini also said that the two players involved with the France squad at the time of last week’s terror attacks in Paris, Bacary Sagna and Eliaquim Mangala, are both mentally in good shape, and that he does not expect heightened security measures to affect the rest of the squad.

“It’s difficult not only for the players, but for everyone,” he said. “But no, I don’t think the players care about that.”
