Sadio Mane pips Mohamed Salah for spot in Premier League team of the season

End-of-season composite team mostly made up of players from Manchester City and Liverpool

As you would expect the Premier League team of the season is a side packed with mostly Manchester City and Liverpool stars. In fact, we have picked five players from each of the league's top two sides.

Eden Hazard of Chelsea is the 11th player.

There is, unfortunately, no place for Mohamed Salah despite his success in 2018/19, including winning the Golden Boot, as he is pipped by Anfield teammate Sadio Mane, who arguably had a greater impact on his team's fortunes even as Liverpool narrowly missed out on winning their first league title in 29 years.
